Guest House Cultural Capital Scholar Residency (GHCCRes) | Philippe Hyojung Kim
With support and funding from Humanities Washington, the Guest House Cultural Capital Scholar Residency program located in Richland, WA continues this fall 2019 with the arrival of artist and creative scholar Philippe Hyojung Kim.
Philippe Hyojung Kim (b. 1989) often experiments with various materials
and mediums in response to his immediate surroundings to create poured
paint-made objects that exist in the space between painting and
sculpture. His work references queer identity, artificiality, and
language while refraining from traditional figurative representation.
Philippe will be in residence with the GHCC from September 3-13, 2019 and he will be hosting a lecture and artist talk (free + open to the public) Tuesday, September 10 @ 10:30am – 12:00pm @ Washington State University TC, TEST 266 (East Auditorium).
